launches the hardest watch on earth
24 Dec 2004
Rado has launched the world hardest watch in India - V10K.
The Rado V10K is a watch that comprehensively fulfills all the
demands of outstanding design, technological innovation and an
elegant timepiece.
V10K
stands for Vickers 10,000. Vickers is a scale of hardness used
particularly in material technology that determines the hardness
of materials by indenting them with a diamond pyramid under a
specified load and measuring the size of the impression produced.
The scale goes from zero to 10,000 Vickers – the ultimate
value that only diamonds attain because only diamonds can scratch
all other materials. It is this ultimate value that Rado has taken
as a yardstick, which means that only genuine diamond can leave
scratches on the upper surface of the Rado V10K.
