TAG Heuer has launched the world first ever 1/100th of a second mechanical wrist chronograph.
The TAG Heuer Calibre 360 Concept watch is the world's most accurate
wrist chronograph. To ensure precision adjustment and independent
operation, the basis of the Calibre 360 Concept Chronograph is an
automatic movement, the TAG Heuer Calibre 7, with a power-reserve of 42
hours and a heart beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour.

TAG
Heuer has just launched an exclusive watch for professional golfers
designed by golfing great Tiger Woods.
The
limited edition world first professional golf watch is designed
and developed to meet the unique ergonomic and subtle aesthetic
requirements of golfers. The golf watch is expected to give one/10,000th
per second accuracy, the company said.
The
watch will be available in a limited edition of 8,000 pieces worldwide,
with only 250 to be sold in India.

The
“Diamond Fiction” watch bracelet was launched recently
by Tag Heuer ambassador, Hollywood star Uma Therman. With TAG
Heuer’s 2005/2006 Year of Diamonds theme, the Diamond Fiction
looks like a bracelet of red satin positively dripping with Top
Wesselton diamonds. But when you press a button on the side, some
of the diamonds change colour to red offering the time in a digital
display. Only three single and exclusive timepieces will be created
at the TAG Heuer workshop at the Chaux-de-Fonds with a value of
EU100 000 euro each.

Heuer unveils special edition 2005 Indy 500 watch
To commemorate its partnership with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
and Indy Racing League as Official Timekeeper and Watch, TAG Heuer
unveiled the 2005 Indy 500 Chronograph on April 6. It is the second
in the Indy 500 Chronograph series.
The
TAG Heuer 2005 Indy 500 Chronograph is a special edition sports
timepiece based on the one-of-a-kind white gold TAG Heuer Chronograph
given to 2004 Indianapolis 500-Mile Race winner Buddy Rice.

Heuer Demos Most Accurate Mechanical Watch Ever
The 'Calibre 360' Concept Chronograph is the first mechanical
wrist chronograph to measure and display time to 1/100th of a
second, thanks to the exceptionally high frequency of its balance
wheel, which oscillates at 360,000 beats per hour, 10 times faster
than any other chronograph - a rate that until now was considered
impossible.
To
achieve this level of precision, TAG Heuer has developed a unique
movement, the principle of which was set by the Chronomatic Calibre
11 in 1969. Made of more than 234 components and modules, of which
131 are directly from the chronograph movement, it actually fuses
two distinctive mechanical movements, each connected to the other
but operating independently.

Following
strong growth in 2004, watch and jewelry sales at LVMH Moet Hennessy
Louis Vuitton posted organic sales growth of 21 percent in the
first quarter of 2005.
In
spite of last year's solid first-quarter comparison period, watch
brands TAG Heuer and Zenith saw double-digit growth, while Chaumet
and Fred also showed strong sales. According to a company statement
issued Wednesday, LVMH brands did particularly well in the United
States, Asia and France. New collections from TAG Heuer, Zenith,
Chaumet and Dior Watches all enjoyed strong orders at the BaselWorld
show, according to the statement.
